high

One of two distinct states in the digital logic elements. The two states are called true and false, high and low, on and off, or “1” and “0”. In computers they are represented by two different voltage levels. The more positive level (or less negative) than the other is called the high level, the other is called the low level. If the true (“1”) level is the most positiv e voltage, this logic is referred to as positive true or positive logic.
