【威尔森 】

（Wilson, Horace Hayman; 1786～1860）英国印度学学者。本为东印度公司之医师，西元一八○八年任职加尔各答，于其时勤修梵文，且为孟加拉亚细亚协会会长。一八三三年任牛津大学教授，致力于印度学之复兴。著有： Dictionary inSanskrit and English, 1819; History of Cashmere, 1825； SelectSpecimens of the Theatre of theHindus, 1826～1827; ArianaAntiqua, 1841； History of BritishIndia from 1805 to 1835, 3vols.,1844～1848; Sanskrit Grammar ,Rigveda-sanhita^, 6 vols., 1850～1888.
